Overview
Auto Follow-ups sends a sequence of follow-up messages to a contact after their last message, stopping automatically as soon as the contact replies.
Open Settings
Open Settings
From the left navigation, click Settings, then click Auto Follow-ups.
Configure the follow-up sequence
Configure the follow-up sequence
Click Add Follow-up to add a step to the sequence. Each step has a delay (for example "After 5 min" or "After 30 day") and a message type, and can be toggled on or off, reordered by dragging, edited, or deleted. Steps run in order — a contact who replies at any point stops the rest of the sequence.
Example sequence
A typical sequence pairs a quick first nudge with a longer-term check-in, for example:
| Step | Delay | Type |
|---|---|---|
| First Followup | After 5 min | Text message |
| Checkup | After 30 day | Text message |
Expected result
Follow-up messages send in order after a contact's last message, and the sequence stops automatically as soon as the contact replies.
Keep the first step fast
A short delay on the first follow-up (minutes, not hours) keeps the conversation feeling responsive; save longer delays for later check-in steps.
