# Write a WhatsApp Template with AI

Describe your message in plain words and let AI write three versions of a WhatsApp template, with a matching picture, ready to edit and submit to Meta.

## Overview

Generate with AI writes WhatsApp message templates for you. Choose the type of message, describe it the way you would tell a colleague (or pick a ready idea), choose a style, and pick one of three versions. For offers it can also make a matching picture for the top. You review and edit the result before submitting it to Meta.

## Before you begin

- Your WhatsApp Business number must be connected.
- Connect an AI model in Settings — see AI Assistant Settings.
- Meta reviews every template before you can use it, the same as a template you write by hand.

## Steps

### Step 1 — Open Generate with AI

Go to Campaigns → Templates and click Generate with AI.

### Step 2 — Choose what to create

Pick New template to describe a campaign and get three versions, or Similar to existing to start from one of your approved templates. Then choose the type of message: Marketing (offers, launches, festivals), Utility (orders, reminders, updates) or Code (OTP).

### Step 3 — Say what the message is about

Describe the message the way you would tell a colleague, or tap an idea such as Festival sale, New launch or Payment reminder. Pick the language, then click Next. The AI writes three versions, picks the best and makes a matching picture (about a minute).

Next, choose the style, then pick the version you like best from the three the AI wrote. Edit anything you want to change, then review it and submit it to Meta for approval.

### Step 4 — Find your drafts

Every generated template is kept in Drafts & history until you submit it, so you can come back and finish it later. Meta reviews every template before you can use it in a campaign.

> **TIP: Start from a template you already have**
> Choose Similar to existing on the first step to rewrite one of your approved templates — handy for a new festival or a new price.

> **NOTE: Or let Autopilot do it**
> Ask AI Autopilot to "make a Diwali offer template with a picture" and it goes through these same steps for you, then saves the draft for you to review.

## Troubleshooting

**My template was rejected**
Meta reviews wording against its policies. Open the draft, adjust the text — for example remove anything that looks misleading — and submit again.

**I closed the window before submitting**
Open Generate with AI → Drafts & history. Unfinished drafts are kept there.
