# Contact Tags

Label contacts with tags like “VIP” or “Wholesale”, then filter chats and contacts by tag and send campaigns to everyone with the tags you choose.

## Overview

Tags help you find contacts fast and send campaigns to them. Keep your main list as master tags in Settings → Contact Tags, or create a custom tag right from a chat while tagging a contact.

## Steps

### Step 1 — Manage your tags

Go to Settings → Contact Tags. Master tags are your team's main list; custom tags are made while tagging a contact in a chat. Click New tag to add one.

## Use your tags

- Add a tag to a contact from the contact panel in a chat (Contact info → Tags → Add tag).
- Filter Chats and Contacts by tag.
- Send a campaign to everyone with the tags you choose.
