## Overview

Basic Replies respond automatically to incoming messages that match criteria you set — a simple keyword-triggered auto-responder, separate from the AI Assistant and from Auto Follow-ups.

## Open Settings

### Step 1 — Open Settings

From the left navigation, click Settings, then click Basic Replies.

## Create a basic reply

### Step 2 — Create a basic reply

Click Create, then set the trigger text or criteria and the message to send automatically when it matches. Use the search box to find an existing basic reply by name or trigger text.

## Expected result

Once a basic reply is created, a matching incoming message triggers the configured response automatically — no agent action needed.
